Deadly Swallows

So in Yellowstone we saw a lot of animals - even a grizzly and her cubs. It was really cool and I was especially enthused about the magnificent bison bulls that were their own kind of traffic (might be doing some bison art in the near future as a result).

Throughout the park there were also these little swift-like birds with bright green backs and white bellies. I looked them up in my bird book and found they were "violet-green swallows." Jeff called them violent, as a joke, and so when I returned home I felt the need to illustrate this new species...
